MA STUFF 'N THINGS
November
November 3rd
The mug has been finished, all that I want to do before I take it home would be sanding it down slightly, but other than that it is complete. We got our 3rd grade monsters in today, and I'm going to start working on that for the next while. The sgraffito cup is on hold.
November 8th
Continuing to work on my monster project. I got all of the legs and the tail attached to the body. I'm most likely going to work on it's wings next class.
November 15th
I attached the jaw to the monster, and I began working on the wings. I am thinking about adding two sets of them, think somewhat like a butterfly.
November 6th
I began working on my monster. I got all of the legs formed out as well as the head. In my head, the drawing looks somewhat feline, so I'm using pictures of sitting cats as references to get the figure right. I will make the body and attach all of the limbs next class.
November 13th
My small dolphin got fired in the kiln, and today I mainly focused on the reading of the sculpture and putting a coat of clear glaze onto the dolphin.
November 17th
I decided to add a second set of wings to the monster, and I was able to get them all built and attached to the monsters back. I'm going to pack it away and hope that it doesn't harden too much over the break.
November 27th
We came back after the break and the monster was still workable. Honestly I'm surprised that only one of the wings had fallen off, but it should be easy to reattach. I might add a kind of fur coat effect to parts of the body, just for funsies.
